Highlights:
What is Resiliency and why do we even need to talk about it?
•What
tools does God bless us with to be resilient?
•Was
Christ an example of Resiliency?
How so?•Why
does God need us to be resilient? •What
purpose does it serve after this life?
•“Elder
Orson F. Whitney wrote: ‘No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is
wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as
patience, faith, fortitude, and humility. … It is through sorrow and suffering,
toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire.’
•“Similarly, Elder Robert D. Hales has said:
“Pain brings you to a humility that allows you to ponder. It is an experience I am grateful to have endured. …

•God wants us to be happy ~ After all
there is a great plan for it.
•God wants us to have trials and pain to
shape us and help us to progress.
•We have to be in a steady state of
discomfort to develop.
•So how can we also be happy?
Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye are
little children, and ye have not as yet understood how great blessings the
Father hath in his own hands and prepared for you;
And
ye cannot bear all things now; nevertheless, be of good cheer, for I will lead
you along. (D&C 78:17-18)
